Here are some of the people who serve on our Steering Committee and are
committed to making alternative and complementary heath care practices
accessible to all Californians.

John Melnychuk, President: In the early 1980's, the Mayo
Clinic informed John that Western medicine could provide few options
for dealing with his Ankylosing Spondylitis condition beyond painful
exercise and life-threatening drugs. His doctors suggested that
he explore alternative health treatments. On that journey, he discovered
the benefits of homeopathy and ended up receiving undergraduate
and masters degrees in homeopathy in England. He is a member of
the North American Society of Homeopaths and is certified with the
Council for Homeopathic Certification. He practices homeopathy in
Palo Alto, California and can be reached at: jmelnychuk@sbcglobal.net.

David Palmer, Secretary: David has used Traditional Chinese
Medicine as his primary form of health care since 1980 and has been
actively involved in the contemporary evolution of the bodywork
professions. He is the founder and President of TouchPro Institute

practitioners. He can be reached at dpalmer@touchproactive.com.

Amy Lansky: Amy Lansky received her doctorate in computer
science from Stanford University in 1983. After many years working
at various Silicon Valley research institutions, she made an unusual
career move: she became a student, writer, and promoter of homeopathic
medicine. This was prompted by the miraculous cure of her son's
autism with homeopathy. Amy's entire family now uses homeopathy
as their primary medical modality. Her new book about the history,
philosophy, science, and experience of homeopathy, Impossible
Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy, will be published in April
2003. Amy can be reached at: lansky@renresearch.com.
